Mind =/= Blown

I don't believe I said that. However, I've done some minor code edits. My main focus is the wiki and testing before new releases.

Okay. I assumed.

Is this Startbg or startmenu really implemented or is it for further release?

You mean like the one KID has in his RB2 theme? I don't think it is implemented.

Most of friends of mine can't play fofix whit me whereas they are really good at guitar hero.
The said me that the timing was completely different and unplayable.

Are there some settings to recreate the perfect guitar hero timing ?

PS: the problem shows up when they want to press fret and pick at the same time, they miss the note every time.
I noticed that too, but i always press the fret in advance and only strum at the good moment, so i don't have this issue.
Using last SVN revision with the last french translation...

Eh? I don't have this problem.

blazin, I think I got an idea. About the "cannot write cache on CD", I think I got a solution. Why don't you make the cache file saved at other folder eg: %appdata%/fofix. It would be easier this way. And I got one problem, the latest rev, after finishing any song, I choose continue and I end up at the root song listing. Need to fix.

Hey buddies !

So, i've just downloaded FoFix v3.100 and when I start the program, it works veeery slowly. I don't know how much FPS because i'm without fraps here, but the thing is, I've downloaded the original FoF and RF-Mod, and both had the same problem, working very slowly. So, is it anything with my computer? I don't think so, because it runs many recent games and stuff. Also, my OS is the Windows 7 build 7201. Is there anyway that this can be the problem?

Thank you.

PS.: Sorry for the bad english.

GH and RB games have some logic to allow you to strum with incorrect or no frets without penalty, if you immediately correct the frets to match within a certain timeout (couple mS maybe?). FoFiX currently requires all frets for a strum to be held down before a strum.

Just thought I'd clarify that.

If that's not already an issue, it probably should be.

Because that's not how the current caching system works. Right now what it does is make a cache file in every folder that has FOF songs, if you're working on a cd which you can't write to then it can't make a cache file in that folder. John was thinking of reworking it so then there would only be one cache file and it'd be in the same folder as the fofix.ini and stuff, but we talked about that a long time ago and I don't know if he's made any progress seeing that not only is it summer but we're also preparing for the next year of school and/or college.

Well, the current FoFiX has a memory leaking problem. If you to get this fixed, get FoFiX 3 instead.

Is there place for a suggestion? In addition to the Jurgen modes, that assist you at playing harder songs due to playing ie the 5th lane, what about this:

To be able to play hard (and probably expert) what about an internal lane moving like this:
5 moves to 4, 4 to 3, 3 to 2, 2 to 1 and here's the special part, 2 ADDS to lane 1.

So you have more notes to play at lane 1 of course but you could play your 4-finger-stay-on-buttons style. I would really really appreciate such a mode, as I am trying to get used to the 5th button but I am not able to master anything harder than slow songs. Sliding my fingers from 1-2-3-4 to 2-3-4-5 or using the index finger for pressing 1 and 2 leaving the rest on 3-4-5 does not work for me, because the 1-2-3-4 combinations is like branded into my brain.

I *guess* this should not be hard to implement, I hope somebody has the time and will to do this. :2thumbsup:

EDIT:
By the way, I have a really strange bug or misconfiguration happening here. Running from source, copied the default fretboard graphics into the corresponding folder so they view up in-game, but whatever I setup the transparency to, the fretboard is not visible at all. Any suggestions?

I like this and it's totally do-able. Post it as an issue on the code site and then be patient... Because it is unlikely to be added before 3.120 release.
