Megalight Hotfix #1 for V2
+Shrunk the image resolution so they're smaller but have note loss in quality, I did this too images that stretch vertically
++basegrooveneck.png
++basegrooveneckoverdrive.png
++bigtail1.png
++center_lines.png
++drumcenterlines.png
++guitarsoloneck.png
++guitarsoloneckoverdrive.png
++overdrive center_lines.png
++overdriveneck.png
++overdrive side_bars.png
++side_bars.png
++tail1.png
+ Notes and Frets were extremely high-resolution for something so simple so I scaled them down with no loss in quality
+ Includes drum notes for 2.985 (Also scaled down)
+ Drops the megalight folder size down by 500 kb
Download
Note, any and all hotfixes will be for the newest version, I am no longer supporting V1.

Blegh, MediaFire's down. :[
This looks great, downloading as soon as I can
Thank you.
- Heya, MediaFire is back up, and I got version 2 now, but when I tried to download the hotfix, it said "Error: The content no longer seems to be available." (or something like that). You might wanna re-upload.

Thank you so much. WHenever I use FOF, The computer (laptop BTW) Always turns it's fan on and slows everything down. This mod helps. Thank you.

if you run all the images through a 2x pixelazation(sp?) blur you could probably cut 200-300kb off its total file size with quality loss thats unnoticeable it can be done really easily with gimp image editor.
also, thanks, this helps when i co-op with drums and a guitar, when i use the rock band theme it lags horribly.(even with 2gigs of ram) this make co-op playable.

Re: MegaLight Alarian
ML Hotfix #2 for V2
+Lessened the size of the lyricsheet.png
+new smaller stars
+Optional fill-up stars
Download
I don't think I'm going to make anymore ML Hotfixes, it's pretty much at the state where it can't really get any smaller without sacrificing some things.

Re: MegaLight Alarian
**EDIT** I had to switch back to the RB 2 theme, because the megalight theme wouldn't recognize the bass drum during any songs....even though it testes perfectly! Odd...**
Hey,
This seems like the PERFECT theme - thanks! However, I read somewhere that the black-on-black song list issue (as well as a few other things) have been fixed by some.... more specifically:
a) Duplicated loading phrases from Rock Band theme into MegaLight's theme.ini
b) Fixed MegaLight's songlist display color to show song names in white (song_name_text_color = #FFFFFF)
c) Added partial stars capability to MegaLight theme (can be disabled in options, and only adds 80kB to MegaLight)
Is this something that can be patched into this theme easily?
Thanks for your help,
Matt!

Re: MegaLight (RB)
I never did upload the fix for 3.0 since you could get in the FOFiX topic, but if you want you can now get it at the theme's official topic. Comes with both hotfixes installed.

Hey Blazingamer,
First, thanks for the mod. It made our little demonstration possible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnCkMxiH8Zk
I work at Cyth Systems, an integration company in San Diego, CA. We put together a demo for NI and Intel, and we are curious about something for rev 2 of this demo. We're missing some of the sustains because the sustain width is so thin. Is there a setting in the megalight theme (or in FoFix) that will allow us to double or tripple the width of those sustains? Then our robot would never miss any notes (providing that the pneumatics can keep up with the note speed).
Thoughts?

Re: MegaLight (RB)
There isn't a setting, but if you open up the "tail1.png" and "tail2.png" images in the theme you'll see that the image is 80px wide, even though the tail itself is a lot skinnier. If you modify that image to make the white part wider, you shouldn't have a problem.
You may also want to edit "bigtail1.png" and "bigtail2.png" These are the tail images for while you're holding the sustain.
By the way, that demo looks pretty awesome. Well done
*Wants to see that bot face off against Jurgen (with his AI set to MFH-OnTime2, of course)*

Re: MegaLight (RB)
As death.au said, it's not a setting so much as it is the image properties. You can easily change up the width of the tail by editing the image itself.
And for others who look at this topic, I put a little reminder on the first post that you always get the latest version of Megalight when you download FoFiX, in fact the version that comes with FoFiX is newer than what you download in this topic
