The Audio
________
It is not done ripping all songs, but it appears that the audio is non-encodable. If i rename it then it wont encode, and it has to have a file extension to encode to ogg. ill keep trying, but it seems that it will be a real struggle to get it to work.

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
All this, and I see no mention of how to rip the audio. RawkSD obviously rips the audio to a RB-compatible format. Where are the tools for that?

Would there be any way to get fixed GH3 .mids with the proper bpm?

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
GH5 is about done, and I can tell ya, the audio is gonna be a *****. I managed to open the audio (the file has no extension) in Audacity 1.3.9 BETA as a 16-somethin PCM 2Chan Stereo. But it just plays white rain. Static. That shower sound. Heck, it may be encrypted for all I know. All I know is that in the morning, it will be do or die for this, and you guys will be lucky if you get a song.ogg, let alone a guitar.ogg, drums.ogg and rhythm.ogg. or vocals.ogg *Laughs at the mere idea of this stupid audio working*
I will keep trying. As soon as the audio works, it will be a 3 (ish) hour affair to get the song.ini stuff right, and titles.ini and the folder names, but then I can release it.
GHWT and GHSH are ripping overnight. Ill see if I can get GH M ripped to ISO intime for rrip tonite, but don't count your chickens before they hatch. Once GH5 works, though, GHWT and GHSH will be a breeze, they are they same files and I would just repeat the process =-)

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
How are 6th notes (open bass and I believe bass on the drums) and HOPOs handled? Are they F for bass and F# for toggle HOPO? Also, slide sections?

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
I think open bass is automatically changed to low green. for drums, it's handled the same way 4-lane GHWT handles it
I made this quick guide for myself on the split tracks
0 \
1 = drums.ogg
2 /
3 = lead guitar (guitar.ogg)
4 = bass (rhythm.ogg)
5 = vocals and extra tracks (song.ogg)

Yeah, but what if I want to rip my own WT songs and audio and save my bandwidth?
Surely there's tools. Surely someone on these forums knows.
Also,
That's a good idea. Someone should give it a go and see. Unfortunately I don't have GH3 anymore. It belonged to my housemate and we parted waysHapp E Nose wrote:Would there be any way to get fixed GH3 .mids with the proper bpm?

I would really be glad for some proper GH3 rips.
Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
I've been going through some of the songs and slowly trying to adjust them for 4-lane drums

Ah... That's unfortunate.
Well if anyone gets around to making something to do it, I recommend ripping these files with the open bass note of F and the bass drum bedal on F, with the HOPO toggle on F#.
For the slide sections, whoever makes it can pick an unused marker in the marker area and we can use that.

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
these mids have broken vocals/lyrics. You can fix them yourself or wait wait for me to fix them
Godzilla
http://www.mediafire.com/?znbmrx3yon3
The biggest changes I made was in the consistency of the ghost notes. They are still somewhat inconsistent but it should be a little better. I updated the fills for using the yellow pad and changed all yellow crashes to green or blue
Smoke on the Water
http://www.mediafire.com/?xmyu0mwtc4z
Swapped the yellow/red in the 16th hihat parts. updated the fills. I didn't rechart the hihat play or ghost notes because overall I didn't want to greatly change the chart, but I did mess with the fills
Whenever I changed the charts, the exported charts were way smaller. I don't know if it's taking out data that's irrelevant or if it's important but if you see anything weird tell me
I left the original midis renamed to notes-unedited-org.mid
lol I found a totally missing crash in No One Knows, these charts can be pretty bad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At_bEgVV4Oc#t=2m35s (2:39 where only the kick is charted. it's hard to hear from this video but it's obviously there in the split drum track)

Re: NEW (maybe) IMPORT METHOD FOR GH WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS!!
Thanx guys for help, BTW I already have ALL mids for GH Metallica and I'll make soon a post on the main topic for that game with a patch update for the midis. I already have WT and SH midis, but I have to find all master tracks (there are a lot in those games' post, but seen that some songs have to be completed they did't post all tracks. If someone has those rips please post them here or send me a PM!). GH3 midis should come today, my friend doglio92 is ripping them...
As for the audio tracks, RAWKSD converts them for RB2 into a file called "audio", but as I said I didn't manage how to convert them into oggs (tried with audacity importing even raw data... nothing... only noise...). But seen that all songs from GH Metallica and many from WT and SH have original separate tracks there must be a way to convert them. Maybe taking that from x360 and not wii...
If someone knows how to do this please let us know!!
