Should work on PS3 guitar as well.
Wii one requires some extra GlovePIE scripting.

is there any way to nail down what is the min config for the pyopengl version so we can tell people what they'll most likely need

it would be awsome if people could look up their specks and figure it out for themselfs

Ok nice it does work good for sliding but too sensitive for tapping but that's cool at least I get to use it finally.

Unfortunatly that can be hard... we're too much CPU dependant [at least for now].

All songs is the same. Well, the latest rev doesn't fix this yet. It makes the computer really slow even though its not using 100,000+ memory. It's just like 3,000 memory usage.

---- EDIT ----

I guess I know what the problem is. Silveresque. Have to report this to blazingamer.

Heh, I'm using the Python 2.6 alpha compile thingiee right now because I know that's where this is headed and I want to be ready beforehand. Just a little heads up, I think 2.6 works just a little worse on Windows 7, those PyOpenGL3 optimizations sure are needed :S.

FoFiX v3.120 beta 1 - Bug report #1

vBPM is broken. Tempo change has no effect on neck speed. My favorite setting is BPM 100%. Did not try other settings like BPM+Difficulty, Percentage, etc.

Thanks to John Stumpo for creating them.

I got a small bit of time, so I'm going to answer the questions that have come up with my Windows binaries.

- Any of the packages must be installed over a 3.100 stable release. These are patches, not full releases.
- Yes, the .7z files are the Windows versions. Think of them as equivalent to the RARs that Chris (MFH) would have uploaded. They contain exactly the same contents as the .exe versions, but there's (a) the .exe trust issue, which some are not willing to accept, and (b) the fact that the .exe will only update a version that was installed using an exe.
- Both the 2.4 and 2.6 versions install on top of the 3.100 final release (which uses 2.4). This is the first time that they diverge, as we added 2.6 support after the stable. Future patches will need to install on top of the same version of Python.
- The 2.4 package contains pyOpenGL 2; the 2.6 package contains pyOpenGL 3. For the shaders, you must (?) use the 2.6 package. (I'm about 100 miles away from my Windows box right now, so I can't check for sure.)
- If you get a strange error upon starting the 2.6 version and it's not a Python traceback or a request for the runtime to terminate the program in an unusual way, you need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Runtime. (This is a consequence of the way Python 2.6 is built. Google for the download.)
- The 2.6 version is built using 2.6.2. To see what specific Python version is being used at any time in the future, just view the credits. It's near the bottom of them.
- If you have poor performance, especially with 2.6, try disabling psyco. You can now do that in the advanced options.
- Due to a packaging bug, a fresh fofix.ini (which is what the file is called now) is not included. Be aware of that. The configuration will be created in %appdata%\fofix\fofix.ini.

Don't say "Python can't do [insert task here]." Python can do anything with the right modules - said modules may just not have been written yet.

tried 2.6 beta version with a few RB2 songs and it is running rock solid no lagging,no skips, no hiccups.didnt check the fps didnt need to its absolutely flying now.the new shaders especially the tails look amazing they really give it a polished look and make the game look so much more professional.the drum bounce is also a real nice touch and coupled with the solid frames has raised the bar again.

the only problems im having is i seem to miss loads of random notes on the drums,i played a song on 3.10 and missed 8 notes with 300 streaks then straight after the same song on 3.120 with the same settings i could barely get a 50 streak and was missing random notes.i dont know if this is the game or i have to get used to the new fps and solidness of the performance.
