I have a set of the drums from Guitar Hero 4 and I'm curious if it's possible to use them on a mac running F0F Alarian. I don't really know where to start - there's no manual or anything. Do they output midi or something proprietary?

Umm... There is no Guitar Hero 4. The next Guitar Hero is World Tour, and its not even out yet. And there aren't any Guitar Hero games that come with or even use drum kits.

Are you sure you don't have a Rock Band drum kit?

haha, if you did have a GH:WT drum set, I think Activision/Neversoft would like to have a word with you :p

Guitar Hero: World Tour was once or still is considered to be also know as Guitar Hero 4.

I had initially written a lengthy explanation of why I had access to this apparently grail-like device. But then I read the remaining posts in this thread, most of which reek less of disbelief than of sweaty fanboy envy.

Like my post-it asks: Why would I lie?

(for any further conspiracy theorists I can take another picture with an appropriately cynical post-it SUGGESTED BY YOU, the readers. But seriously, this is pretty convincing, isn't it?)

Rather than justify my completely legitimate (if unexpectedly enviable) access, please enjoy these photographs. I don't work for Activision, but these things are sitting in my office with the blessing of their makers until I ship them back later this week.

I hope I'm not betraying any top secret intellectual property by posting these (although I'm pretty sure similar photos are widely available elsewhere.) But bear in mind that the actual product has not been shipped, so it might bear little resemblance to this. And of course if I'm asked to take these pictures down I will.

But seriously, I believe your just bragging about your having the drums.

We all know no one else on the forum has the drums, and wouldn't know how to use them. I'd imagine you could just plug it in and play, anyways.

Spoiler:

It's not a real goose, it's only a picture of one.

Bragging? Jesus, are any of you old enough to drive? I asked an honest question and it's all I can do to avoid the exploding zits.
