Nope, it's there. Has to be something else. I have exactly the same files I had on XP and it worked just fine.

It has the python25.dll? And maybe you don't have the MSVC redistributable installed.

It has python24.dll and I was only missing the 2008 MSVC redist. Still doesn't work after installing it.

I haven't tried it yet. I was wondering if that's the best solution or if there was some sort of other fix. Being that it's an alpha it sounds intimidating.

yep 4.0 alpha works, but there is no decent themes available for it, so its not the same FoF experience

the only theme available is the "fuzion's 4X - Fast, Fully Customized Theme for FoFiX 4" and to be honest its pretty crap to me......SURELY THERE IS AN EASY FIX FOR THIS!!!!!!!! I MISS FoF :(((((((((((

Fantastic, it works.....so what did you actually do?

Also, GH Theme doesen't work :((((

I get the following error in the log:

RuntimeError: PyAmanith is not installed and you are trying to load an SVG file.

Same thing with GH Theme. Can you plz find the way to fix it? Cant play on that standart theme. T_T

Found out that the the error is caused by Numeric.py, which the service pack broke. Apparently just recompiling it fixes it and then recompiling FoF from the source using the fixed Numeric 24.2 fixes the error.

after trying to install the 'new' numeric.py it tells me I don't have python installed. Not having needed this before, you guys recon I should install this or what for some smarter person to come up with a fix.
