Hello.
I'm trying to fret my first song and I don't know how to do solo sections in EOF!
Can someone explain to me how can I do those solo sections? P

Re: Solo Sections?
haha I asked this same question a while ago, you need to have to starpower phrases before you can use a solo section

Re: Solo Sections?
You should highlight the notes you want to mark as SP or a Solo, and then go under the Notes menu; there should be an option to toggle SP and solos there.
Also, if the chart has no more than two solo markings (if I remember correctly), marking SP isn't necessary.

Yeah, what SUSA said. I had this issue when I first started fretting songs. The solo will not show up in game unless you have at least 2 starpower sections marked.

Re: Solo Sections?
This requirement is a side effect of FoF supporting both Guitar Hero and Rock Band style charts, which use different MIDI markers for various things. A more comprehensive explanation is in EOF's manual.

Re: Solo Sections?
You can make a solo section using the (older) method of text event marking. It's more simple and allows the game to still decide where to put star power. if you dont want to do a lot of work. up to you tho :)
Basically anything with "solo" in square brackets will activate it. for example: [gtr_solo] , [super_solo] , or [solo]
to stop the solo, you can use the thes text events: [chorus] , [verse] , [solo off]

Hmm. I always put [section Guitar Solo] and [solo] together.
And then [solo_off].
But I don't really know; I'm just saying how I do it. I don't even think I need to do it because I just do the toggle solo thing.

Re: Solo Sections?
Using text events and section markers to trigger solos has their own set of complications though, see this thread:
