I've been thinking about adding a medium difficulty for the dragonforce song I added recently, but I made the midi in FL and don't know how to add more difficulties. using the FoF editor it kind of a pain in the ass for me...
unless that's the only way to do it.

In Fruity, copy the notes and past them into the next difficulty band. Then edit those notes to fit the difficulty level. See Nobby76's guide for the position of each level.

You can do it exactly the same way as you did to start the song.. Just go to import midi, then when it comes up with the box of options, just make sure " REALIGN EVENTS " is switched OFF, Then once its loaded you just add a new instrument channel and start fretting notes on it.

Sorry i just re-read what you said. Adding difficulties is quite easy. The difficulties are C5 + next 4 notes = Super easy, C6 + 4 notes = Easy , C7 = medium C8= Amazing. Just copy, paste your notes into one of the other difficulties, then edit them as you see fit, to make it easier or harder than the other difficulty.

Yeah, looks like it's currently down. Here's a mirror that Winniez made back in the day: http://my-css-lab.com/cgi-bin/nukular.pl

I was trying to add extra difficulties to a song that only had "expert" on it, and I double checked and all my notes are where they should be for the new levels, but no new difficulties are showing up in the game.

Anyone know why that might happen? I'm using someone else's song and I'm editing on Fruity.

EDIT: Nevermind. It suddenly started working as soon as I posted this.

you probably had to save the song again, or reload FOF before it spotted the changes. either way, glad you got it sorted... And i knew it would work!
