Calibrating lag between my ION 360 kit and FoFiX

Postby Invisible » Sun Oct 25, 2009 10:54 pm

I can't figure out how to calibrate lag between my drum set and my computer. Whenever I play songs, nothing is on time. I have to hit the notes extremely early to register. I tried adjusting A/V delay, but to my knowledge, that only fixes the delay between what you hear and what you see. I need to fix what you hit and when it registers on FoFiX.

Is there anything anyone can do to help me? Thanks.

controller/video lag isn't supported yet. Yes, it sucks

One thing you could do is calibrate the audio lag then cover up the bottom half of the neck with a piece of paper and pretend the fret line is higher up than it actually is

If you have your drum set hooked up via bluetooth, it could be that the signal is not strong enough to reach the drums; especially if they are far away.

Weak connections can trigger a delay (early or late), obviously.

well I mean will that matter? I don't think any drums are bluetooth, it's either connected or no connection right? It's not like the RB guitar will have more noticeable lag the further it is away from the console

You're right. Since he has IONS for 360, they should not be bluetooth compatible (Wii drums are though). In that case, if you have an adapter, reset it and plug the drums back in. I don't have IONS, or even other drum sets, to test it out on.

its not an issue with the ION kits, it has to do with the way FoFiX handles the drums.

My WT kit, and my Roland kit both work perfectly for DTXMania, but are both REAAAAALY slow responding in FoFiX.

Controller Delay settings are being worked on for FoFiX 4.000
