So it was working, and now isn't?
Try reinstalling it.. also plug the usb adapter into a different USB port.. this should redetect the device etc..
it could be stuffed though :p

That is the adapter I have. It says it supports 98/98SE/ME/200/XP. I removed the driver than reinstalled it. It worked under the control panel. However, it froze up when I pressed the orange button on my guitar.
Does it sound like the guitar or the adapter? I'm a software guy.

It's such a fine line between stupid and genius.

Adapter. It won't work on Vista, I know! Get the official Red-Octane one.
If you can read this then you've gone too far.

**** radio shack.
**** radio shack.

I have the same adapter from Radio Shack, and I have Vista Ultimate. The adapter works, the only problem I had was that the CD that the drivers came in wouldn't install.
So, I just plugged in the adapter by itself. Vista found and downloaded the drivers for it. And it works, I am able to use the PS2 Guitar Hero controller for this game.
I can also use the PS2 controller, it works fine with my emulators such as Mame. You just have to push the Analog button on the controller for the analog sticks to work.
