wow! for once somebody asking this didn't get flamed! amazing. another tip: if you end up in another jam like this, search in the forum for a word relating to your problem before making a thread, because generally people asking questions like this get the crap flamed out of them.

I recommend an administrator making a sticky about winRAR files.

I do it all the sites i'm at and own, or co-administrate.

All tho i will say, you really should have searched this , quite a few people ask about rar files. so the answer is out there, several times in fact

it could be easier.... if you are using windows when you double click an unknown file type, you can search for software to open it..................................

so what's the damned deal?
