Q: How do I add songs into FoF?
A: Download a track, this will usually be in *.rar format
Extract the *.rar file, and almost always, the files song.ogg, guitar.ogg, song.ini and notes.mid will be in a folder. If this is not the case then put them in a folder.
Place this folder inside the FretsOnFire/data/songs/ folder and your song will now appear in your song list.
---
Q: How do I extract folders in .zip or .rar format?
A: A good program to extract those files is winrar which you can find here

I dont know how people struggle with this... You download a song, which is in either RAR or ZIP format. You extract the RAR/ZIP file and it will give you a folder ( with some files in it ) copy this folder to Fretsonfire/data/songs ( if you dont have a songs folder you can just make one) once you have copied the folder to your " songs " folder, just play the game, and your new song should appear in the list of songs. Its just extract and copy... 2 things how hard can it be!!

We have told you and many other people, if you want to extract RAR files, you need WINRAR. If you dont know where to get that, just google for it ( itwill be the first result)
To extrct using winrar. just right click the rar file and choose " extract here" how difficult is that?
And no making Zip files will not work , AS we have allready said THEY HAVE TO BE EXTRACTED, Zips or Rar files will not show up in the game EVER!
