Hello.
ive downloaded fofix 3.1, 3.121 and 4 alpha 1.
version 3.1 just will not run, tried many options, just will not run.
version 4 alpha 1 loads but after selecting song i cannot select difficulty or part, ive tried lots of songs.
the option is there but am not seeing an arrow or cursor to select anything. tried lots of option, themes, songs, ati settings - resolution, v-syncs, opengl etc
Version 3.121 (the one im trying the most to get working)
all runs fine, but soon as im playin a song it starts out of sync then gets further and further out of sync,
by the time im at the first verse of a song; the audio is way way in front of the notes.
audio just starts (sounds about right, time, bpm etc) but notes come trailing behind too late, then gets even further away.
tried: video drivers, a/v delay, resolution, fret speed, quickset, bit rate, buffer. id say pretty much all settings. at catalyst settings, aa, opengl, all setting max all settings min and all in betweenetc. resolutions, vertical refresh.
the closeset i can get to playable is setting a/v delay to 0. but the first note is still long behing the audio.
this is the same when using :
Toshiba 32" tv
17" monitor
Creative gaming headset
usb audio speakers
Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit sp1 (home premium) (fresh install too)
msi x38 platinum mobo
Q6600 quad core cpu
ati HD6850 (latest drivers, also tried uninstalling drivers back to w7 drivers)
using guitar hero guitars. tried my drums too.
please please. i hope someonecan help me with this. id love to play and possibly make some songs.
ive even told friends about fofix and theyve downloaded it and playing it and taunting me how good it is. *doh.
any question on my spec please fire away.
im really concentrating on getting v3.121 playable as thats the closest one i think, but any help with any version will be great.
thank you.
Cannot get 3 different versions working. please help.

Re: Cannot get 3 different versions working. please help.
Suggestion:
In Adv Audio, set to (or play around with these settings):
Freq - 44100
Sample Bits - 16
Buffer - 2048
Test using a good, known to be in sync chart. You need to modify the A/V delay in the options, so that the first note matches perfectly with the audio - use changes of 50 each time (+/-)
My own setup, I use +100 for the AV delay. It will differ from machine to machine though. You might find it easier to sync using a drum chart.
(My Beltane chart on drums is pretty slow at the start, so should make it easy to sync against)
Once you have the first note/beat sync'd you should be able to tell why the rest is going out of sync... eg music might be playing too fast or slow for the notes, in which case... the adv audio settings will help.
Good Luck.
