If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize and please move it to its corresponding location.
I just started with Audition Mode today (got it about 2 hours ago w00t!), and so far I've just went around on YouTube and downloaded tons of .rba's. But I remember SH and FoF and how you guys all create custom songs, and I thought I could do the same.
What I was asking was how can I find a .mid drum chart and turn it into a .rba file so that I can play it on Rock Band Audition Mode? Thanks guys.

Re: Turning .mid files into .rba files for Audition Mode
You use Magma:

And in all likelihood, you'd need to touch up the MIDI in Reaper to make any and all necessary corrections to the MIDI to ensure it's properly formatted.

I have Magma, that's how I send songs to my 360 (the Audition one for sending, Author for making I guess [I haven't used Author yet]).
Is there a tutorial on this? I'm pretty sure all I need is not just the .mid file.

Re: Turning .mid files into .rba files for Audition Mode
Harmonix listed all of the instructions in detail, you should start with that and be specific about which parts you're having trouble with. For starters, that means having your audio in WAV format instead of OGG.
Re: Turning .mid files into .rba files for Audition Mode
I looked through it and it seemed to help a bit. I converted the .ogg to .wav 44.1khz also. I came with two problems though. I first got was that the tick number was not 480 (it was 100) for the .mid, so I brought the .mid file in REAPER and exported it as 480.
That solved the problem. But now the error I get is that the .mid file is Type 0 when it needs to be Type 1. Can anyone help me?

Any decent MIDI editor should be able to save the MIDI as type 1. I know if you import a type 0 MIDI into Anvil Studio, it will beg you to let it save it as type 1 instead. Doing it in Reaper should be possible, but I don't use it so I wouldn't know how. The MIDI file in question must have been made a LONG time ago if it was saved as type 0.

Re: Turning .mid files into .rba files for Audition Mode
Ok guys. I found a tutorial by Hunnybee2 on YouTube (it was awesome, it was 3 parts, and I followed it 100% step by step) but I'm still having errors when building. The only thing I didn't do was create atleast one note for each difficulty besides expert because my screen looked nothing like his on REAPER during that part. I even looked at each part in the FX tab and watched the whole song being tested in the RBN Preview box and it was 100% in sync with everything working.
Here is the error I get though, PLEASE look at it and tell me what I did wrong.

I just realized that I forgot the put the "S" on the beginning track name...fail.
Then I build...and guess...more muthafkin errors. Except this time there is over 9000. I couldn't even fit them all on the screen. WTF is all this?

Re: Turning .mid files into .rba files for Audition Mode
You should learn more about MIDI files if you're going to try to use Magma. The errors are saying that several notes are longer than the maximum duration. It gives you the time and location of each offending note, you're going to have to shorten them slightly. Use this as an opportunity to learn, and actually read the error messages to try to figure out what to do.
