Help Needed

Postby timedrifter » Sat Mar 06, 2010 8:21 pm

this is my first post here, glad to be here!

I am a noob to frets on fire and fretting I am also an indie artist and I have my own songs and I thought it would be a great idea to customize them for frets on fire, and being a noob I went for the easiest thing I could find which was Freetar and EOF and I ended up using both and it seems to be fine on the preview but seems different in FOF, anyway, so like I said I fretted a song but I cant tell if they are on time with the notes or if its the guitar because I only have a wireless rock band guitar that really is a piece of poop and I cant tell cause I downloaded the guitar hero songs I am good at and I fail on those too and I really think its the guitar.

I was hoping I could get someone to check out the song with a good guitar and let me know if it is OK to release for download on my web site (http://www.renatomusic.com) the song is hidden right now and located at http://www.renatomusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Warning.zip and it is called "warning", and all my songs are available for free and always will be.

anyway, any help or feedback would be much appreciated, I dont mind taking the time to fret them to make them better if thats the case.

Forget the previous post, I realized the guitar does suck and the notes are off as well, I found a midi editor and I will clean it up and re-post the song when I feel it is ready.

Ditch Freetar altogether and start from scratch with EOF. Do not use grid snapping unless you anchor and set the tempo accurately and the beat markers are correct. You can tell if it's correct by playing the chart back with the metronome and hearing whether or not the tick is in sync with the drummer (usually the snare drum beat).
