Hi guys.
i bought a controller for playing FoF long time ago, and recently a friend of mine brought me guitar hero 3 so i could check it out. i tried to use my controller ingame, but it doesn't respond in any way. i can't bind it in the 'controller' section in settings, and i don't see anything else reffering to that matter. any ideas?

You need to figure out what game your FOF controller was originally marketed for before we can fully answer your question. Since I assume you aren't plugging a playstation controller into your 360 (or some other crazy combination), I'm guessing it's a RB guitar that wasn't compatible with older GHs.

nope, it's this one: http://i41.tinypic.com/25jcglw.jpg
the system i use is windows vista.
this controller is both compatible for rockband and guitar hero, it has a switch on the converter to swap between those two. what is more, it is both possible to plug it into usb or ps2 input, coz it has both of them included.

I didn't know either of those existed. Not a clue in this case. Some thirdparty controllers just don't do what they say they do. I kind of want the little one, hehe.

The little one is awesome, although its been said your hand cramps up really badly due to its tiny size.. its also the closest thing we have to an official fof guitar, as its the only one specifically marketed for fof not the gh games. but yeah id love one just for the novelty value :)
@ yunior. i presume the fact you said your system is Vista that your copy of GH3 is the GH3 PC. if thats the case have you considered trying something like Xpadder or Joy2Key. They allow you to bind joystick buttons o na controller to keys on a keyboard. so you could say Button 1 " green " is actually the Z key ( or whatever the green fret key is in GHpc )

I had one of those they are trash sorry to say. joy2key and xpadder will work if it's pc but you'll have to set a button for star power since there's no tilt sensor... at least the one I had claimed to have one and it didn't I even took it apart and to my surprise the connection was there but it wasn't even included. I ended up giving it away and getting a ps3 les paul used but mint condition for $20 locally and it's been my fav. controller so far and I've used pretty much all of the official and a lot of 3rd party controllers out there.
