/back on topic

And regarding the current issue of wireless drum lag and only hitting a fraction of the notes, I had the same problem when I first set up my wireless drums. I mapped both the regular and alternate keys and that seemed to work about 80% of the time. Then I deleted the [Player0] section of my fretsonfire.ini and re-mapped again and it worked great! Not sure what caused the problem to right itself, only a matter of repetition. Try mapping both drum keys and see if you can hit more notes.

or looking for a 3rd party program to fix it, like xpadder. [but not xpadder, thats for xbox things]

It seems I've narrowed down the problem further. It will read pretty much all notes hit softly, but any note hit normal or hard will not register........??????????????????????????

Well we are making progress, so that's good. I had a problem with notes not registering in certain areas, most often about 1/3 the surface area of my green pad. Anywhere within the center dot, and the upper left corner of the pad would not register no matter the level of force. It just happened to work itself out after clearing out my .ini control info and retrying once or twice.

Oh, and I should mention that these issues popped up about 4 months ago, so I guess that was FoFix 3.0 or something. I think I still needed xPadder for that one.

are they the rock band 2 drums, would the have sensitivity for how hard you hit?
in that case, the strength you hit the drum might end up what its mapped.

Are you sure they are the correct drivers? Did you get them directly from Mircosoft's website?

I got it working somehow, but I have one other question, is it possible to use my wireless xbox 360 drumset on FoFiX, because rock band 1 set sucks balls lol.

Yup. You just need a wireless Xbox 360 adapter. You can get them on Amazon etc.

KingAustin24 wrote:I have the Rock Band 2 wireless drum set, all notes register just fine in the "Drum Test" section, however, when I get to a song, it will recognize about 1/10 notes. Yes I'm hitting them hard enough and on time, I play expert in rock band. I've adjusted the AV delay, I've tried in both directions, doesn't help. Any clues? Also I'm a huge computer geek, and I can vouch that it's not my computer.

I'm experiencing this problem also. I have a Rock Band 2 Xbox 360 drum set hooked up through a wireless adapter. Notes will very often miss (usually the red in my case). This appears to be related to the drums' hit strength sensitivity which maps hard and soft hits differently. You can see this by doing a hard hit and a soft hit in controller mapping (the red drum is both "Joy #1, Axis 0 High" and "Joy #1, b", for instance). I attempted to get around the problem by mapping one hit to the main key and one to the alternate but it only ended up causing double hits.

I can also confirm this is an issue unique with FoFiX 3.120 as it does not occur Drum Machine.

Hi,

Was there any solution for this? I see this is from 2009, but i just installed fofix and set it up and i have the exact same problem, if i register the controller with low pressure hits and then try to play and hit it hard the notes don't register, like it's mentioned here. Performous doesn't seem to have this problem as it registers all my hits no matter how hard or soft i hit them.

Thanks.
