What kind of horsepower do I need to comfortably play FoF with two players without having any lag?

Regardless of visuals and system specs you will not be able to have a truly "smooth" two-player experience depending on certain factors.

There is a noticeable slowdown even on my system:

E8500 Dual Core @ 3.8GHz (400x9.5), 4GB 1066MHz DDR2, HD4870x2 (2x1GB), Vista.

2+ GB of RAM and a CPU at around 2.8 or 3.0 GHz will help improve your gameplay though.

yeah it varies a lot. I have AMD sempron (1,7Ghz), 1gb RAM, nvidia Geforce 7600 (256mb) and I can run latest fofix all settings maxed smoothly, only problem being it freezes for about 10 seconds sometimes

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz
1516 MiB (that's 1,5 Gb)
nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS, PCI-E 16x, 256 MB, 400 MHz

Running fine most of the time

FoFiX is heavier on the CPU than the GPU, I think we've seen guys with 64 MB graphics cards running just fine. As for the CPU I think that we can agree on 1.5 GHz being the recomended lowest frequency.

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.
