Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere - I searched the forums and googled around quite thoroughly and came up with nothing relevant.

I'm using a GH2 controller on Alarian-MFH 2.9, on Kubuntu Hardy, via a Playstation 2-to-USB adapter. Everything works fine, except the whammy bar doesn't register at all (as in, not in-game, not in KDE's joystick calibration utility, etc.). I assume that means I need a different joystick module than the one that comes pre-installed in Hardy, if such a thing exists, but I've pretty much exhausted my usual resources looking for one. If anyone could help me out with this, I'd be extremely grateful.

I use a PS2 Adapter as well, its never worked for me. The whammy bar seems to have no effect through the adapter, as im not sure what it is supposed to be set to as a regular PS2 analog/button.

So no, its not possible to use the whammy bar in FoF with the PS2 adapter. Although since it says "Killswitch" in the game, this function works like a killswitch, so I just set mine to Select to make it more realistic anyways. :;):

Cool, thanks for the reply. That's actually exactly what I'm doing, but I just get tempted to try and get the whammy bar working whenever I'm going through the options in a new release of Alarian-MFH and I see the option for "analog killswitch" - which, I imagine, would make the sound smoothly fade in and out if it were assigned to the whammy bar. Oh well, some day, perhaps. :-P
