Im a bit of a noob at this. So ive downloaded a song and inside the folder I find the following things:

Guitar - OGG
Notes - MIDI
Song - Configuration Settings
Song - OGG

So when I go into Fret on Fire and try to put this new song in it asks loads of questions and you got to find the right files and stuff. Can someone explain what each of these files is and where I put them. Also do you have to put the frets in yourself?

Simply put the Folder you have downloaded in the song Folder!
Located here: fretsonfire->data->song
That all
Upload your Frets on Fire files here!

Oh, I emptied out the folder and put all the stuff in the main FoF folder :angry: Maybe that's why mine didn't work...
ANYWAYS...is there a way to delete songs? If there is I can't find it. I deleted all the song's folders contents and it's still there.

That's all there really is to it. Deleting/Moving the folders from the songs folder will make them not show up in the game anymore. Also, you should be doing this while FoF isn't running

i thought it would be more difficult also, I figured you would need to open a document and put the file name in and stuff like the fighting game program M.U.G.E.N. speaking of M.U.G.E.N this game reminds me of it but I prefer this game more.

Ok, I don't know what the hell I was thinking about when I read DRW's post, but I ended up reading it all wrong apparently. I think I can add songs now(downloading one right now...).

But there's still the problem of getting the ones I screwed up adding by going to the song editor and doing a whole bunch of crap.

If I can get this done I'll stop being an ass :D

I screwed up a load of songs before I was told how easy it was :). Just go into your songs folder and delete the ones you don't want. I couldn't find a way of deleting song in FoF.
