lol, I went searching and found this: https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=3;t=15251
Perhaps that's the answer to my prayers. Fingers crossed!
Ok I got the RF mod 4 final, version 4.12 and I still get the same message when trying to start FoF.
Edit2: also, I deleted the .ini before I did this.

Did you do it like this-
If you have a load of songs already and dont want to delete them, then move them out of the folder before you do this.
Delete your current fof,
Delete your fretsonfire.ini (Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/)
Download this- https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin....d+and+4
Get the updates further down the page,
If you dragged your songs folder out, drag it into this,
Try that,
Mike.

Ok I still got the same message: Errors occured. Said it was missing the MSVCP71.dll. Can you just install that mod, or do you have to install the frets as well as the mod?
the log has this:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "FretsOnFire.py", line 77, in ?
File "GameEngine.pyo", line 192, in
File "Svg.pyo", line 77, in
File "Svg.pyo", line 240, in
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'GMatrix33'
Edit: that's MSVCP71.dll, and not MSVCR71.dll. I have that one. WTF
Also, before I had to reformat my computer a while ago, FoF was working fine, but now...ugh. I'm not sure which version I was using before though.
