It was then I realized why I was playing the Rock Band charts more than the GH ones on FoF/iX

Consider Neversoft/Guitar Hero dissed.
I wasn't intending on ever posting in this thread until last night.

Yeah, synth charting FTL.

Unless it's Fashion Zombies by The Aquabats

I'm not that opposed to synth charting. In some cases it works okay, especially if it sounds somewhat guitar-ish. But charting the synth while guitar is actually playing is just plain wrong. Especially when said synth sounds more like beeps and boops.

im not fussed about synth charting myself... as long as there isnt any guitar playing at the time.

personally i quite liked GH3, with a few notable exceptions (raining blood, before i forget) the note charts were fairly accurate.

but GHWT and GH5 particularly have some of the worst note charts ive seen in any game ever.

i would rather have Rock Revolution than GH5 as at least the covers have great note charts

"Check Your Hardware: Electronic" 2/10
"Check Your Hardware: Rap" 1/10

@Synth charting (a subject I am indifferent towards)

I'd like to throw my responce in there with Tibi's quote.

Me wrote:The ironic thing is you guys are dissing Neversoft for charting synth when Harmonix charted the synth solo in The Hand That Feeds and the synth in every Freezepop song in there. Probably even more.

Considering we're all just quoting each other to make our points:

And I don't mind listening to the organ solo in Won't Get Fooled Again. That's what it's there for.
Although I wish there was a "keyboard" or similar part where one could actually play it

How about getting things right in the first place?

*Looks at GH:WT's failure of online play on Wii with only two Wii systems connectable at one time*
*Looks at GH:WT's failure of supplying full-featured character editor on Wii*
*Looks at GHTallica's failure of not fixing online play and only "hiding" the lack of features of the character editor with more outfits*
*Looks at GH:Smash's failure of still not fixing the above*

And since this is also Neversoft, how about some more Tony Hawk Pro Skater games? There hasn't been one in a few years now... Preferably one where you don't "ride" on a "skateboard"-pad.
PM me for my Wii or DS Friend Codes.

http://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38434 My Wii GH:WT Guitar and Drum GlovePIE script. Also supports GH3 guitars!
Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

Guitar Hero charts haven't been realistic in a long time.

On the subject of synth/organ solos: the rechart of Woman for GH:SH (Or GH:GH or whatever) charts the entire organ solo. I can kind of understand why they did that, the guitar part is repetitive, but you can hear it really clearly and it's unnerving while playing the mess of three note chords that constitutes the organ solo. :glare:

Neversoft are no-longer in charge of the Tony Hawk Franchise. And it was Tony's idea to use the board.

Wait wait wait.

You're telling me you'd rather play the same chord again and again and again for up to 30 seconds when there's a synth solo going on?

Personally I think you're crazy.
