I wish there will be a bundle of: the game, a (REAL) guitar controller, and the piano only. I already have GHWT instruments (assuming it is compatible to RB3) and just jam along!

Well there's a bundle of Piano and Game only. Just buy the guitar separate.

I'm going to wait until the MIDI instrument compatibility list is released before deciding on whether to get the bundle. I'd hate to pay $70 for a cheap keyboard when I can pay about $150 for a full MIDI controller complete with pitch and modulation wheels, pads, etc.

well the price for the real guitar on it's own isn't announced yet, so there might be one but it hasn't been announced yet

The madcatz guitar is $150 (proof), which gets me wondering how expensive the Squier guitar will be

If you consider this one I found on Musicians Friend, which looks to be the same model as the Squier controller, it costs $350. I don't think the RB3 one will cost that much but I'm guessing at least $200 or more.

It's not going to be the same at all. The specs going around on the Harmonix forum say that the Squier RB3 guitar is going to only have one pickup. The debate on the price seems to be settling on around $250, which is probably the sweet spot for the pricing. If they go too much higher than that, it will alienate buyers.

problem is all the tech in the neck. That will jack the price.

What I only need to know (well at least myself only) is the (REAL) guitar controller (the red one madcatz made). And (holygod) it costs as 2-3 guitar hero 3 LOR controllers combined!

the difference here being that they only have 5 buttons on the neck where as pro guitar has over 100 and has actually strings that you pick

It wont matter to me, as i suck on real guitar. But i wouldnt mind it teaching me how to play these songs. at least if i know some songs, chords and stuff will come easier to me

You can just play pro-mode on easy/medium then you're set to go, progress over time.

Just like when you started playing GH or RB guitar. Can't wait, hoping to suck less after playing it for a while.
