No problem at all. Perhaps we should play together some day. I'll let you add me to your GHWT friends list. (The name is exactly the one I have in these forums).

Is there any way to change the control scheme to a much better one. I hate using Shift, z, x, c and v as frets. I don't have the X-Plorer and am fairly good at the keyboard. Can someone help me?

open Aspyrconfig.xml with notepad

At the bottom of the file you'll see something like this:

Simply edit the numbers next to said controls using this guide to get the desired controls.

Thanks for that.
It seems that drumming with keyboard is MUCH more different than FoFiX. I cannot complete On the Road Again (Live) because of those red snares. I do not own a drumset which makes it really hard. I've configured the drums to be like this:

Red - A (alternative Q)
Yellow - S (alternative W)
Blue - D (alternative E)
Green - F (alternative R)

Alternative keys are used for fast rolls. However, being the engine that it is, you can't hold in buttons like snare and press the green to produce a red/green note. If you are already holding in the red drum, you can't hit another note unless you let go off the button, making some of the faster rolls extremely difficult to hit.
Other than that, I think this is great.

If your Guitar Hero World Tour starts normally when you don't have your wireless guitar connected but crashes if you try to start it when it is connected or crashes during the game when you connect it that probably means that you run 64bit version of your operating system. Since guys at Aspyr are lazy enough not even to test it here's the solution:

1. edited

2. Try to run the game with the crack, if the game does not run (it probably won't) continue reading.

3. Download Hex editor if you dont have one installed.
I suggest Hex Workshop from http://www.bpsoft.com/

4. Open the crack (GHWT.exe) with hex editor and find the following Hex string:
"9C A2 00 51 FF 15 30 33 A0 00 83 C4 0C 85 C0 74 1A"

5. Replace the last byle with 4E so it looks like this:
"9C A2 00 51 FF 15 30 33 A0 00 83 C4 0C 85 C0 74 4E"

6. Save the file and try to run the game. If it works try to find a way to make jack microphone work in return :)
You are GREAT! At last a proper solution! Thx a lot m8!

2 more questions:

1. I have the red SG and a converter, whom which I usually play FoFiX with. Can I use that guitar and converter to play this game, or am I doomed with the keyboard.

2. I can't re-map the star power. I've tried mapping to space, L, end, middle mouse button, nothing. It's really bad.

then you could do vocals and guitar by default. ...I'm assuming that's what you were getting at since your post is devoid of purpose or question.

Some tutorial or help would be great.

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out.

Two more things I need some advice on. How can I map the strum bar as both navigating menus and for strumming notes within the game?
