This game is awesome!! I accidentally sold my DDR Pad so now I don't play it anymore. Playing it with your fingers is kind of boring.

about your control scheme (to anyone who plays it), do you actually use up/down/left/right or just 4 horizontal keys? cos using the proper directions are really confusing

Yeah, I use two hands, 3 fingers each. And the directions, (up down left right). Left hand does WSAD (up down left right) and right hand uses the directional arrows, and I split the keys so it's easier to play.

i play some... haven't played in a while, i prefer Mungyodance to Stepmania honestly... but i have all the Otakus Dream packs to date (except the instrumental ones)

i tend to use two hands, one using arrow keys, one using wasd *rereads kris's post* oh, right, that. :P
