Rock band is fine, but guitar hero WT really rocks!

Seriously, guitar hero is so better than rock band...the "fretting" of the songs and the setlist is better...

where is Satriani in rockband? and bullet for my valentine? Jimmy hendrix? lynyrd Skynyrd?

The ONLY thing I prefer in rockband is the "noiseless" strum bar lol

But there's not enough metal in both games...

The squeak on the strum bar goes away after some weeks of playing the guitar.

Yet mu strum bar down went crazy and never worked. Good thing is it is fixed with a star screw,a soldering iron and someone.

Rock Band 1 has Gimme Three Steps and Simple Man for DLC, I prefer the GH strum bar (I tend to think I didn't strum at all if I don't hear the click, and overstrum... ALOT), and as far as GH:WT being easier than RB2? I find that the hit window on WT is too big, so I miss notes (whereas I don't have this problem on RB), and there is only two songs I sometimes fail at on RB2 (bodhistva and visions), whereas I find I have more trouble with certain WT charts (scream, aim, fire, being one of the top [this is probably because it makes my arithritis act up in my left hand]). The greatest bonus about RB2 for me is the Megadeth charts (I hope to get RB2 soon as I can afford it).

The only things i like in Rock Band:
-Everywhere there is something to be surprised about the images and hit glows
-The drums are compatible with both games
-The modes (overdrive,resurrection of a player using overdrive,unison)

I don't like in Rock Band:
-A copycat of Guitar Hero (Harmonix is a traitor,not really)
-Curse able lyrics(lyrics have certain curses)
-Drum peripheral(unless it has a pressure sense)
-Some things weird

Truth time!

GHWT isn't the best GH game ever. (That award goes to different games depending on who you ask -- most will probably say GH2 gets it, I personally say GH3). That being said though, it's a solid game, with a reasonably solid setlist, and some good DLC available (if you haven't already, GET THE FREE DLC PACKS.)

It doesn't suck -as a game-, and it's better than GH80s (which didn't suck, but was done with the wrong idea).

The only problem I can honestly say I've had is that the strumbar on the 'World Tourer' (as I'm now referring to the guitar controller with) is a little low-quality, as mine gave up the downstrumming ghost after one day, but it's a solid controller otherwise.

Opinion?: If you've got the Rock Band gear, GET. If you have a GH3 controller on top of the main RB gear, you'll be fine. If all else fails, break out the SG/Xplorer (PS2 and X360 users only), or get an RMA. Just be prepared to wait and pay for postage.

Rock Band 2 is nicer, sexier, easier and more fun.

Guitar Hero World Tour has better hardware, a nice music studio, and real Musitions in the game.

I love Rock Band 2, as I am a Harmonix fanboi.

I love the fact I can shove Today on bass, and no other than f*cking Billy Corgan pops on stage for a jam.
Although. I wish GHWT made the game more band friendly in single player mode, as if you're playing as the drummer. You finish a song. The whole band will turn to you're drummer and congratulate him. You're supposed to congratulate the whole band.
