Phase Shift v0.53

Mediafire is screwing up for me so trying megashares for now

Change List

Changed HOPO Frequency to 12th Notes
Improved strumming HOPO notes
Fixed Issue With Some MIDIs Not Loading Correctly Or Not At All
Improved Controller Detection System
Added Resume Countdown to pause menu
Added Bass Board Bounce
Added Neck warning Flash when close to failing
Added Support For extra background mode, supports abstract and stage modes
Pig tweakage

Controller support is currently less than previous versions due to lack of profiles so will add them as we get them

Megashares is terrible. Do Megaupload if mediafire won't work.

basically if u set your config to 1 you get the original abstract 3d background and 2 for the pigs

when the pig mode was added the dynamic camera was hard coded which stopped the abstract mode working properly as it needed a fixed camera, so now 1 is basically a 3d fixed camera mode and 2 dynamic camera mode

this also makes it easier for lower spec machines to switch to the simpler background without to much messing around, the pig background is only going to get more complex over time so needed to sort that out

Hopefully it will. I had been collecting a list of songs that were not working for one reason or another. All the ones people had posted here that were not working now work fine.

Thanks

Wow, it works now. Thanks for the update. :)

Also, can you make a countdown everytime the game start a song? You know why I want this. And I wonder why when I mapped the keys for keyboard, the controls will stop working? I can't press a button at all.

-- Edit: Mon May 17, 2010 5:31 pm --

Oh, I found a bug. I was playing in drums mode and when I missed the guitar track is slowed down like 75%. The song is Wake Up Dead from RB DLC.

-- Edit: Mon May 17, 2010 5:32 pm --

Also, how do I change to 3D Abstract background? I tried 0 but its the 2D Abstract, 1 the default 2D background and 3, the 3D Piggy Stage.
Gimme a literocola.

This one isn't working in PS for me:
http://www.mediafire.com/?dzdjq2jsodb

I click on expert and there are no notes, it works fine in FoFiX.

.:Edit:.
By the way, is there any real hit-window in the current release? I can't beat any songs(and I'm lucky to get past the intro to any song), even on easy. I dunno if it's me not being used to the notes or what, I even tinkered with the delay but it didn't really help :(.

It's still in beta so it's understandable if there isn't really a hit-window, but I was wondering if maybe it was just me.

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

There is a hit window and infact it's been increased in the last release to make it a little easier.

I'll take a look at the song.
David

-- Edit: Mon May 17, 2010 10:05 am --

Ok, looking at that song it dosen't have a MIDI Track Name.
This should be set to "PART GUITAR"
Maybe FOFIX has a system where if there is no track name then it assumes that it's a guitar track.
If someone can confirm this then I'll add support for it.
However, the track should have just been made with the correct track name.

Thanks
David

I'm not sure about the keyboard mapping. If you post the details of the keyboard.ini I'll take a look.

I don't think I'll add a countdown at the start. However, I will be adding a loading screen between the menu and the game starting. It will then ask you to press a button to start which is the same as RB and GH.

Backgrounds Values
0 = 2D Background
1 = 3D Abstract
2 = 3D Stage

If you could upload the problem song I'll take a look at it. As I can't be sure I'm downloading the same one you have.

Thanks

Well, the reason I want a countdown at the start is because some songs have no silences at the front and the notes will come up just like that and we'll miss the notes.
