Re: Fatdog Phase Shifts [v0.52]
Ass has a point. Not everyone wants to have to map out there guitar to play. That helps get rid of n00bish posts here too

Oh hey, at least its better than having your drumkit detected as a guitar.

what about have it detect controllers as normal and when a problem controller comes along make like a special profile for it?
(edit)
or how about have it auto detect controllers but have the controller mapping settings in case it dosent get it right

Well, we had thought we could just have a popup box when there is a duplicate and you pick the one from the list that is yours.
But we really want to make this as automatic as possible.

the pop ups not a bad idea, its still pretty automatic with that its just an extra button, and it only happens if it sees a duplicate right?

Re: Fatdog Phase Shifts [v0.52]
I think that it should have an option to select the type of guitar you are using the very first time you play the game. That way, it automatically detect thats guitar from then on as soon as you plug it in. If it's not suppported, then a message window pops and telling them how they can contribute and get the button mapper for kiwimaddog. Also, there should be an option within that that lets you decided what you are playing. EX. You plug in a guitar. You select guitar, not drums. Not shure what so say about key conflicts though.

i like it jut change one thing, each time it detects a different controller and ofcourse have it save the choice so that it dosent ask again, and put an option that allows you to reset them incase someone pushed the wrong controller

Yeah. That sounds good.
Just there needs to be a way to resolve key conflicts, unless the player doesn't mind swapping guitars each time lol.

i remember hearing about a program that solved that somewhere... maybe if someone can find it he can reverse engineer that programs code and add it to PS?

See if you can. Maybe they can somehow incorperate that into PS so that it runs nice and easy when you first boot it.
