My hunch is that Harmonix will let you play Pro Bass on a Pro Guitar... but lets think backwards... Would they let you play Pro Guitar on a Pro Bass?

I'd hope not, for the same reasons I don't want to play Pro-Bass on a Pro-Guitar. It doesn't feel the same.

vandorb12 wrote:Also, due to the 4 controller limit on most consoles, how are vocalists supposed to select what kind of chart they want (solo or harmonies) and what difficulty? Is it possible that it's voice controlled? (eg. Say "quickplay", and it takes you to the quickplay mode)

I'm still waiting for more news on that as well. My girlfriend had the same idea on that, though. Just let them say "Solo" and "Expert." Dunno how feasible that is, but it'd be a cool way to handle it.

They will probably have buttons on the mic or a way to tap the pickup on the mic to navigate through them if that's what they plan on doing.

No, because that would mean that only rb3 mics would be compatible with it.

There ARE some mics that you could buy separately that had buttons, but yeah, that's unlikely. Maybe leader can decide for you?

Yes, there are mics with buttons, but they are only compatible with the Xbox360, because they only make them for the 360.

The button point seems to be moot, since it will need to be connected to the console as a controller. In full band mode, at least.

I was thinking that after player 1 picks their instrument and difficulty, they can then pick the microphone options. Or, if it isn't player one, whoever the band leader is does it.

It's funny how you can tell how educated someone's vocabulary is on /fof/ by their usage of the word "moot".

It's funny how you can tell how limited someone's vocabulary is on FOF-FF by their surprise at the correct usage of the word "moot."

Really, it's not that odd of a term. Or are you just a /b/tard? Rhetorical question.

:P that's the joke. So many people on here are /b/tards that the usage of moot as an adjective is a one-in-a-lifetime occurrence.

I think you'd be surprised by just how many people here would refer to themselves as /b/tards.

no, no one on here is a true /b/tard they just lurk /b/ at the MOST as a weak attempt to find something they can identify with. Most people however just read really old ED articles and latch on to 2 year old memes as if they are comedy gold.

Okay, this is The Official Rock Band 3 Thread, not The Official /b/ Thread. I shouldn't have brought it up, and I'm ending it here because it's getting way off-topic.

So, get back on topic.

* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.

<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?
