I know, it seems these new songs are not keeping with the old slider standard. I'm thinking of ditching the Slider System for now untill I can figure out a better way to handle it.
The new GH guitars don't even come with slider bars anymore. I think it's going to become a forgotten standard and is more trouble than it's worth
I'll have a think about it though before I disable it.
I've also added support for sustained open bass notes today before anyone complains about that which makes Bass a bit more interesting!

Thanks

Re: Phase Shift [v0.71]
Your input utility didn't detect the tilt, but the Windows game controller applet registered a Y rotation when I tilted the guitar for overdrive.
I connected the keyboard and tested with your utility. All piano keys registered, as did the Dpad, back, start, A, B, X, Y buttons and overdrive buttons. The modulation strip was not detected, but the Windows game controller applet registered a Y rotation when I touched the strip.
I suppose an updated profiler utility would just need to be able to read axis and rotation related input.
Edit: I reached the muted note section of the trainer, and it accepts anything as long as the string is strummed. You can hold a fret down, leave it up with or without your finger touching it and it will accept it. The Mustang doesn't have the capability to determine if the player is muting correctly, but the Squier might (it would probably have to detect pressure in addition to just touch in order to determine if the string is pressed hard enough to play fretted or if it's muted).

Then the trainer didn't score them. The trainer actually just said to lay your finger over the frets, so perhaps palm mutes are a separate trainer.

What wireless adaptor are you using? Because I never usually have any problems with the Y rotation. Infact that's the standard axis for the Guitar Tilt on all of the 360 guitars.
Usually it's Button/Axis 16.
Thanks

umm.. just thinking about something...
"I've also added support for sustained open bass notes today before anyone complains about that which makes Bass a bit more interesting!"
how can you have an extended open bass note? theres no fret being held to extend, you don't just hold the string down with your pick/finger on a real bass as that would completely kill the sound, I fail to see how extended open bass notes can possibly work...

Re: Phase Shift [v0.71]
what he's asking is how there can be a sustained open bass note if you don't hold a button to keep it going... with regular sustained notes, you have to physically hold down the corresponding button..... on open notes, there is no button... so the note would just be sustained until you actually press one or strum again?? seems kinda silly in the videogame concept

Yea I agree it's not a great idea but I try to keep up with new features when they arise.
As such I thought it wouldn't do any harm to implement it.
Thanks

Re: Phase Shift [v0.71]
i suppose that makes sense... maybe there could be an option to toggle it on or off?? i don't play bass, so it wouldn't matter to me... but maybe people would like the option?? idk, feel free to leave it that way =]

Well really it's MIDI specific, the song has it charted so I'll have to leave it implemented otherwise the scoring would be different if it's on or off.
Thanks

I can confirm that's what your utility reports when I tilt my RB1 wired guitar, however no matter how I orient the Mustang guitar and tilt it, no input is detected from the utility.

OK, I'll have to investigate this as it's the first time an axis has show in the windows controller panel and not in my app.
Thanks

oh... duh.... silly me! haha, you're right, i'm wrong... most songs won't be charted that way... and sidenote, does EOF allow for sustained open bass notes??
