Yup, it is in fact 150$. I'm pretty sure real Squier Stratocasters are around 100$ - 200$(depending on the version you get), but with all the new hardware developed for the RB3 version, I'm gunna guess it's going to be around 250$ US.

Also, I read a review on the RB site that briefly mentioned that the Strat won't be out until next year(how far into next year I'm not sure).

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

The Mustang is out already, but supply is very low and some vendors haven't even gotten it yet (hence the future release date). The Squier is reportedly in the body of a $250 guitar, so it's going to be more than that in all likelihood, $300 is not an unreasonable estimate.

I went to GameStop last week in search of a new PSP and I happened to see the Mustang. I asked the guy at the counter about it and he said it was the only one they had in stock and it was for display purposes until they got more. He said they sell for about $175 USD by themselves. If you bundle it with the game he said it's like $260-ish depedning on the state tax (here in NY it's about 8.5 cents for every dollar you spend, so if you spend 10$ on something, it's gonna total up to around 12$-ish).

Interesting how this thread turned into a PRO guitar discussion.
(underlines commonly used by spammers)
I really hope PS works with pro instruments, at least the guitar, because I'm not going to get RB3 in like 5 years...
BTW 300 bucks for a controller seems the sickest price ever. At least I hope that it sounds good by itself (with an amp) :P

@kiwimaddog: You said you got the game to show the PRO notes properly, right? Can we get a short vid of marvin playing it please?

It happens, it's hard not to talk about things we are all interested in(kinda the point of forums). Knowing who's getting the guitar helps kiwi know who to bug about it at least :).

Maybe faddog will upload one when he gets a chance as he deals with the video records.
Here is a test image but it's not much to go by as all the GFX are placeholders but you'll get the idea of where we are at.

Yea, we prefer this to the RB3 Layout and we are looking to add support for DTX charts at some point too so it made sense to go this route.

Yea, we were qutie disappointed with the lack of Pro Drum Features in RB3 so we had to look elsewhere.

Yea, otherwise you'll have to keep looking at your fingers. We are still deciding how to handle the chords system. We are not too keen on the RB3 Chords system and would rather keep it to the normal Gutiar Tab Notation. At least this way you are also learning a skill for the real world. However, we may change our minds when we play the game, their system might be ace!

Thanks

i agree that RB3's chords are kind of... eh... i personally think they could be better, maybe you guys will get what Im looking for (btw I dont really know what it is Im looking for with chords so dont ask.. lol)

also... just a heads up there is a bug where if you set the background to the stage without turning off the video background override option the game crashes when you try and launch a song
