I'm just talking about this part

edit

oh and they charted that generic A minor at the end of the solo as a 3 note chord. But you see it's a powerful A minor so you gotta clench the neck with half your hand to play it!

it was only 5 notes that should have been ho/pos but okay I see your point.

and yeah, I find it hard to believe any metallica song has a non-acoustic chord in it worthy of a 3 note chord at all

They copied the star counter thing from RB. The chart and animations were enjoyable (Except for the fact that the animation was black and white yet the notes and all that are so colourful). Neversoft needs to change the theme, seriously the performance meter, notes and score counter are ugly as hell and don't fit Metallica at all.

Since when did this hate of 3 note chords come around???? I don't mind them as long as they are OMFG LOL CHORD RAPE like Stricken in GH3. Seriously, that song is the WORSE official chart I have every played in my life. Most power chords that I play are 3 notes anyway (root, 5th, root).

The random picks makes it more like you're playing guitar. You pick the notes the guitarist actually picks (unless it's not feasible to do like the part in that solo like looks like the mosh from Raining Blood).

No ethernet port anywhere near my 360 (my wireless router is in the room/closet my washer and dryer are in.) and I sure as heck can't spend $100 dollars for a stinking wireless adapter.

If you have a laptop, you can hook it up to that and share the internet to your xbox. I do with mine. There are tutorials on the interbag somewhere if you look hard enough.

My laptop is this giant hunk of metal from 1999 with no ethernet port on it, and it has to stay in the living room because my mom does her work on it.
Like I said, I'm screwed out of XBL unless I find a cheap wireless adapter.

Damn I want this game bad; they keep tempting me to buy a console and I would if there wasn't a chance that this would come out for PC in the future... as long as they keep porting the titles over I'm sticking with my PC.

The feel the same way. Some people think that it is absolutely wrong to use 3 note chords (3NC), but it is matter of opinion and not fact. I simply stated why Seek & Destroy did not have hardly any 3NC in the fretting. There is hardly any when playing the song on guitar. If there were, then I'm would bet that the developers would have included more of them. Not sure why some people don't like 3NC....maybe to hard to play them? For some maybe but that is why they have other difficulties which do not typically have any 3NC. Makes it not enjoyable?....I don't understand this at all. There are just as many 3NC combinations as there are 2NC combinations. I don't understand why using one extra finger is going to cause a less enjoyment. In fact if 3NC never existed in this type of game then I would probably hate this type of game, and consider it crap.

But you know what. This is just my opinion. So what ever.

The hatred of 3 note chords is partly based on the fact that most people's keyboards (FoF is primarily keyboard based, whether you use guitar controllers or not) can't play many 3 note chords, and partly because most of the really good fretters on the forum believe GH2 and RB2 frettings are the best. These frettings have very few 3 note chords. Personally, I chart 3 note chords only when a guitarist would be playing the chords on three different frets.

Of course though in Guitar Hero: Metallica there is no option for keyboard. With FOFix, isn't there an option to use 2 note chords only? I have tried this setting because I thought of it making the game too simple.

Nope 3's and 7's, Before I forget, and Peace of Mind on GH3 is unfun to play whatever you choose to play it on

edit heres the hardest song in GHM on guitar, chart sucks but it doesn't look too hard to pass

It all depends on how you play. Some people use 3 note power chords, some only use 2. I personnaly nearly always use 3. You get a much heavier sound than just 2.

People need to stop bawwing about how this charts suck and just go play the ones the community has made. Nearly any song that is going to come out has already been charted by the community. If it's not, STUF and make one you enjoy yourself.

Then why not go back to the GH1 ho/po system? It's more realistic because you HAVE to pull off like a real guitar player.

The point of the game is to create a fun experience. Adding convoluted stuff just to add to the difficulty is not fun.

And people complain about official charts because they are paying for good charts and every single feature in GH or RB that isn't in FoF. Simple enough?

I want to play the demo so much. And they never put demos on the Wii shop channel.
Why must I be screwed over?

Oh well, hope you guys have fun playing it.
That's okay, I have a tournament I'll probably win the day before release =D

Just asking, do you have a laptop? If you do, you can use your laptop as a (bigger) wirless adaptor for your 360. I got my macbook setup as one, and it works without a hitch. Search youtube, i'm pretty sure there is a vid that shows you how to do it. Saved me $100 for an adapter
