Gui-gui is back under the name of Luca.

Again, why is this a problem? He's done more contributing than spamming lately. Wasn't he working on charting discogs and full albums? Also, did you guys ask him to stop before banning him?

I think people tried. At most, I think it lasted 3-4 weeks before he started again.

I'm sure anyone would get repeatedly banned for making multiple accounts, it doesn't matter if you attempted to contribute or not, rules are rules.
(also if anyone says a thing with me and crushedsoul because I just said that, you're retarded.)

Look at timfoss, he even admitted he has made multiple accounts, the fact that he wasn't banned on the spot then confuses me. He admitted to breaking the rules and he got away with it (yeah, he's banned now but for other reasons.) If that rule is flexible (apparently it is) how come the others aren't?

gui-gui's main account is still unbanned, but he's not getting away with making new ones.

timfoss has long been on thin ice. His decision to spam the board and then make more accounts after a temporary ban only sealed it.

This is just an opinion of mine, but I think there should be less-sudden permas and more 1-week-or-so lasting warning-bans.
For example our <-20-karma posse should everyone get a month off, so they could thing the contents of their posts a little.

Here's a crazy idea. Let him go. He's done nothing wrong and was contributing when he got kicked. He's obviously not going to stop making other accounts either so you might as well just let him go. Still think he's annoying? Pro-tip: IGNORE. You can block members.

that's fine, and in a specific instance, that's works really well, but it's more of a point that his other accounts have been banned, and you're using the word "contributing" very loosely i hope... his gui-gui account is fine, and if he used that, there's not a problem, but making new accounts so you can continue spamming and making unreasonable requests is still against the rules, and if we just ignored the rules for one person's obnoxious persistance, that would open up a very big can of worms...

not quite that drastic... but the point stands that if one rule doesn't matter, why would others? if it's important enough to be a rule, it should be enforced, you know? and making exceptions for people who are particularly stubborn when it comes to following those rules is just silly... you don't reward somebody because they continuously ignore the rules...
