DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
I seem to get this every now and then when I try to access the forums. What's happening?

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
Whoever hosts the forums' DNS server(s) has load issues probably.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
I figured that was probably the issue. But when it happened to MediaFire I became suspicious. I thought it was my interenet. But Megadeth101 tried to access MediaFire and he had the same error.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
Nothing has changed recently in regards to the DNS setup. I haven't ever seen this error with fretsonfire.org that I can recall. I'm interested if more people have, though.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
I've gotten that and I remember Mon01 saying that he's gotten in too. Usually it's nothing, a refresh will get rid of it but sometimes it takes quite a while. I think Mon said he couldn't get to the forums normally, but using a proxy helped.

I see it every now and again too. I usually just ignore it, refreshing suffices.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
No, it doesn't. It works sometimes...others I have to wait up to 45 minutes.

Well you seem to be alone on that.
Perhaps the extended duration of your inabilty to access the site is due in part to a defensive measure?

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
I've seen instances where the DNS address couldn't be resolved for a while (ie. over 30 minutes).

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
Could be an issue on your end.
Try flushing the DNS cache.
(Start> Run> cmd> "ipconfig /flushdns")
See if that fixes it.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
In the past, that didn't resolve the issue. I believe I went as far as running nslookup and trying different DNS servers. If it happens again, I'll try one of Google's DNS servers or something.

Re: DNS Error-Server Cannot Be Found
I am pretty sure this is an issue on the user's end, because I have never got anything like this. Have you tried resetting your modem and/or router? Do you have anti-virus software running?
