Well, I guess it just gets me familiar with the song. That is of course knowing it isn't a song with extremely fast double bass or gravity blasts (not that I'd ever fret a song with those.) Gives me a feel for the song.


I can usually play all the songs I fret. Maybe that's because I fret easy songs? :glare:

I agree with Venom, fretting my drum songs have helped me become better at playing the real song, I learn to pick up the drum parts better while I'm fretting.

I know for a fact that milage varies.

My playing hasn't improved much, which, given that this is now my 2nd year of fretting (almost into 3rd!), is a bit strange by this thread's logic.

But also because Puppetz didn't get much better until his break between Puppetz Hero 2 and Puppetz Hero 3. Then he just became nigh-unstoppable.

Charting has not made me better at fretting, but fretting has made me better at playing.
