After much hacking, tweaking and tuning, the latest revision of Frets on Fire is finally ready to be set free!

Download Frets on Fire 1.2.438

Be sure to also grab the bonus song by Scenery Channel (www.scenerychannel.com): Fasten Me!


Detailed changes:

Here's a detailed list of changes included in this release:
-add custom fretboard and background support
-abstract pygame mixer behind the Audio class
-song folder support
-fixed screw-up volume
-align notes to beat lines again
-fixed missing encoding error on linux
-dual core performance improvements
-fixed crash with strangely named joysticks
-fixed backspace etc. on mac
-delete rhythm file after importing each song
-improved importer encoding quality
made notes disappear when they are hit
-fixed volume saturation issue with GH2 tracks
-fixed performance issue with note effect
move the multiplier text upwards
-pause the song while the menu is shown
-implement playing multiple streaming OGG files simultaneously
-fix the timer skew and add a high priority mode
-fix the priority of the loading screens to improve loading time
-make the fret color configurable with the theme
-hit counter
-type-ahead find for song chooser
-fix Numeric memory leak
-fix importing two missing songs on GH1 and GH2 disks
-tapping support, aka hammer-ons and pull-ofs
-ppc mac fixes

This is no joke guys. It's the real deal. Only one problem for me. The update is corrupt, and won't extract. Not tough to get around tho. Download the full version, And just move your song folder from the previous version to the new version. All of your high scores and BPM settings will be there.

I bet a of of people are very hesitant to download this given the day, no one wants to be joked on this day. But it's real. And oh **** Wrestlemania 23 starts in 30 minutes! (in my best Vinny Mac voice) THE BATTLE OF THE BILLIONAIRES!!!!! Wow this is a awesome **** day.
