no antivirus running actively. i play FPS games a lot, so i make sure to keep everything running smooth when i'm gaming. i do only have 1.25GB ram though..

That sounds about right. mine will use a few hundred megs for a few songs, then get carried away with itself. after playing a dozen songs or so, it's consuming well over a gig =(
