I don't think so, it's just absurd that a T-rated game can have M-rated downloable content. The ESRB maybe don't have a jurisdiction over DLC, but this dosn't means that the DLC can be more "dirty" that the game itself

Wasn't the DLC for San Andreas what garnered all that negative media attention?

the "Hot Coffee mod"? how to forget it (just kidding )
Re: Censorship in Guitar Hero Games? WT*???
It's not DLC. It's content that was left in the game that was ONLY accessible very hacks.

why the duck did I type very? lolwat
Also, the whole thing was blown way out of proportion. Yes, rockstar shouldn't have left that in there BUT the only way you're are going to find it is by modifying your game to see it to begin with. It's like beitching about a game having nudity because you installed a nude mod.

I recall reading something about Harmonix considering some sort of parental control on the content; a setting that would enable whether or not the lyrics were censored.
Although, seeing the ridiculous amount of DLC already available, I don't think that anyone's getting an uncensored Sir Psycho Sexy anytime soon. Too much work for a simple, non-impacting commodity. Same reason that there isn't a way to turn off crowd cheering and applause in the freestyle drumming mode in RB3; too much work for something that isn't going to sell them many more copies.

I think I read somewhere a while ago that they censored 'kill' in 2 Minutes to Midnight because the original phrase is 'to kill the unborn in the womb', and for some reason they thought it would promote abortion.
It kinda makes sense to me, but anyway, they should just replace the censored word instead of just muting it, like they did when they they radio-edited Boulevard of Broken Dreams, for instance. Or like they did with Chemical Warfare on GHWoR 'artificial f***** peace', they muted f****** but there's no blank space between artificial and peace.
Pay attention and you'll see what I mean http://youtu.be/d-9cMBz-cIw?t=1m20s

The Chemical Warfare edit was actually really well done. I had no idea it was censored.

I don't think that anyone who sings "to kill the unborn in the womb" can be induced to abortion, also, I think that a mentally healthy person ( or at least a normal one) can think disturbing things about this phrase

They also made a good censorship () in B.Y.O.B. by System of a Down on Guitar Hero World Tour
But in Rock Band, sometimes it's a little awkward and even funny to play "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold and listen "it's your f*****' nightmare" censored

The same guy who tried to get GTA:SA banned for that also tried to get Sims 2 banned because you can download a mod that removes censors and adds detailed genitalia.
