Borderlands - PS Store or Blu-ray disc?
Hey guys,
So, here's the deal:
I want to buy the game Borderlands for PS3...
As you may know, its available in the Playstation Store for 30$
Its also available in a REAL store for 35$...
But i want to buy the add-ons pack for 20$ on the PS Store and i just have 40$ on my PS wallet
Understanding until now?
30$ (game) + 20$ (add-ons) = 50$ - Wallet with 40$
I would need to get a PS Store Card with 20$ because I would only have 10$ left for the add-ons.
And if i buy it in the real store it will be like this,
35 (game, with real money) + 20 (add-ons from PS Store) = 55 - I would still have 40$ and buy the add-ons for 20$ = 20$ left on the PS Store
It would be more expensive but what is killing me to decide is that the game comes in a disc and i keep thinking its better,
because i can take it to a friends house and play the game with him...
What do you think?
Would you buy the game in a virtual or a real store? + add-ons in the PS store
(please don't say "I wouldn't buy it cause it sucks" because everyone likes what they want don't judge them. )
I'm really thinking in buying for 35$ and the add-ons for 20$ in the PS store
Thank you very much
And I really appreciate your patience to help me and read this

I'd buy a disc, just because you have a hard copy so if your system crashed or something you'd still have it.

get a disk. Borderlands is a great game, when I played it though I had the problem of levelling up too fast, making everything too easy. I don't know if the game has been tweaked since

You can always replay it. You stay with the same level and it is harder.
And with the Secret Army of Gen. Knoxx DLC you can level up to level 61.
I read too much before buying a game. (BUT NOT SPOILERS! XD)

Buying on the PS Store would be equivilent to buying it off steam, no physical disc to worry about and if you ever want to play it again, just download it. You can download the content as many times as you want on your console.
A little note, "the ring" is an 360 exclusive occurance. I've picked up my system plenty of times with disc inside

I know it would be on your PSN account, but I just think it's better to have a hard copy. The chances of your account crashing are like almost impossible, but still they are there. Overall a hard coy is probably almost always bette.r

I say the only advantages to a hard copy is if your friend wants to borrow it, they can; or unlimited console use. THen again most people now a days play something until they 100% it

Its always good to beat a game with local multiplayer...
I've beaten Resident Evil 5 with my friend and it was awsome!
Can you do a local Co-op in borderlands??

What about in 10 years when Sony is tired of hosting the game on their servers and you want to redownload it so you can play it? This is a huge concern of mine regarding any game that requires online activation. What happens when Ubisoft decided to no longer run the servers for AC2? What happens when EA eventually shuts down their activation servers? All of those games become useless.

It's just my personal preference, but I'll get the disc. Another advantage is the possibility of reselling it.

you could bring the game to a friend's house but you couldn't bring any of the DLC lol, kind of a waste
