The only level that I wouldn't consider fun would be Metropolis, but that's just because I played it so many damn times.

I think it's pretty obvious that they were trying to make the environments in Halo beautiful when their multiplayer maps look like this. Especially when it's compared to:
http://xboxlivemedia.ign.com/xboxlive/image/article/107/1079800/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-20100325073855930.jpg

That said, I don't think Call of Duty's environments lack beauty, they're just standard. They focus too much on being real. Real in video games is boring. Halo's visuals are striking because they feel alien and un-natural, yet you know the maps have a purpose in their universe. Lockout was a flood containment facility, Burial Grounds was littered with the remains of Alpha Halo, Construct is a few levels under the Ark's Cartographer, etc. They locations all have functions and yet are abandoned, but they don't LOOK abandoned which feels mysterious, as if someone or something is still maintaining these locations.

I don't get it. It's the same gray platform over and over again. What's so impressive?
There's no "feeling", I found it to be tedious and boring. The environment didn't make up for the game itself being, meh.

>apart from like 4-5 of the levels

Which are about an hour long each of boring and sitting on elevators waiting forever. Seriously. I recently (about a month ago) tried replaying through Halo 2 with a bro for old times sake. My god what a turd.

You want to know the reason why I loved Reach so much? No ducking flood. The flood are THE WORST part of EVERY Halo game. They're all long boring and tedious (and in the case of 1, bullpoop).

Make a video game discussion thread... this is starting to be clutter.

To expand on-topic. Would like some spare cash to throw into my checking account to pick up some deals off steam.

Calm down guys, i bet all Halos are cool.

@ aander91
I play CoD 1, yup thats an awsome game, but since the rifles and snipers, have been dominated by machine-guns and mordern war
CoD started to go down (my opinion), I like the new CoDs but the 2 first ones are the best i've ever played.

I guess i'm a WWII war game fan

I'm hoping for a full RB3 set.

Btw: Is it just me or is the MW screen a bunch of people firing at a tarpaulin?
