Could you suggest some games for me?
I'm in a need of good games, preferably long-lasting and i'd be happy if you could suggest me some, it doesn't matter whether they're new or classic.
What I like:
Action, fps's mainly
driving games
good classic games (indy 500, lhx and stunts brings tears to my eyes)
good stragedy games
What I dislike:
Puzzles
Horror
I'm also always wanted to play a good shmup, when i was young I played stargunner but it's quite hard to make it work properly under xp
What I have installed currently:
Trackmania nations forever
Gta IV (played through)
Company of Heroes - Opposing fronts (Tales of Valor is waiting to be installed)
Crysis (Don't like it that much)
Racedriver Grid
Need For Speed Carbon (Almost played through)
Call of Duty Modern Warfare (played through)
Modern Warfare 2 (played through)
EVE Online (14 day trial)
Fofix
Warcraft 3 with frozen throne on my usb drive (played through)
Stunts
My system specs:
Intel pentium 4 (3ghz) (single core processor but still quite powerful)
2gb Ram
Palit radeon HD4850 (1gb)
Windows xp
From the games above I can run crysis smoothly on medium-high settings, Grid almost on max, both modern warfares on max and nfs on max, all smoothly.
And take note, I have only 29gb of free space left

Serious or sarcasm? I've heard good and bad things about it.
And thanks so far, I'll take a look to what you have suggested

I also recommend Burnout Paradise. Excellent game.
Also, NFS:Shift is pretty awesome, once you get used to it. It annoyed me at first, but I like it now.

I haven't played Shift yet, since my Xbox has the red ring of death D:
Maybe I'll download it.
Re: Could you suggest some games for me?
Burnout Paradise is just terrible. Herp derp only 5 cars on the road (exaggerating how low number of traffic cars but still NOTHING compared to Burnout 3 and Revenge).
Why not play Quake 3? It's a helluva lot better, more active, and now free.
Max Payne 1 and 2 is on steam now for $3.74 bundled.

Fun FPS built on the Quake 3 engine.

Re: Could you suggest some games for me?
I gave Shift a go and I must say I didn't like it all. First of all, if I want to make it look as pretty as Grid (which runs smoothly), it runs at about 5 fps or so, and it looks like crap when settings are low enough to actually play it (poor pc porting?). Second what annoyed me was when I started career, there was no way to lower settings or go back to menu, so I had to kill the game manually. After lowering settings I had to look those videos again as there seemed to be no way to skip them. And thirdly, the handling. When playing with keyboard and sensible assist settings, (I'm in control of the car, not pc) handling the car is freaking hard. Sure it's realistic but still. And if I try to lower steering sensitivity, the car handles like a bus.
Okay enough complaining, I'll try the other games, sorry raptor
