Combat Arms: Free, fun online FPS with customizable weapons and other cool features.
Assault Cube: Open-source online FPS built on the Cube engine. Features a built-in map editor and co-op editing online.
Blood Frontier: It's in beta right now, but the game is like Quake 3 and is built on the Cube 2 engine.
Cave Story: A 2d side scrolling platformer with RPG like elements and amazing pixel art. A must play.

For a good single player FPS, try Prey. I bought it from the Steam sale the other day and it's much better than I expected. It doesn't feel like an average FPS, there's so much more to it. The whole gravity and protal things add surprisingly much to it and enviroment is awesome. It was fun shooting aliens while standing on the wall of a bar (which was from Earth) in space when You've Got Another Thing Coming by Judas Priest was playing from the jukebox.

And Burnout Paradise is fun too. Gets repetitive, but still fun.

I actually own the game. Works perfectly fine. You really should actually buy the game (assuming you didn't) and play online. Don't buy from steam, though. It's more than twice what you'll pay for the game + United Offensive expansion. UO is a must.
