1. Yeah, where I live tickets $45 and up are almost always assigned seating up front, that's why I don't see the point of goin into a mosh pit if I dropped that much cash for a seat to not use it.
2. **** grammar Nazis.
3. DISTURBED + A7X W/PORTNOY THIS SUNDAY, PUMPED!

Portnoy is touring with them? That's pretty kewl of him, I just figured they would have gotten a stand-in for the stage.

Yeah, I was thinking of probably buying tickets when they announced Disturbed and A7X, but once they announced Portnoy was going to be the drummer I had to buy tickets no matter what! I can't wait to see how he handles their older stuff.
Re: Concerts You Have Been To, or Going To.
Paul Gilbert on 29th Nov. AHAHAAAA
Also Dark Tranquility+Insomnium in October.
(And of course Joe Satriani on 9th November as I said before)

I'm going to ozzfest today. Truth be told the lineup this year is a bit disappointing. But I'm looking forward to seeing Ozzy, Black Label Society (cause Zakk is a god!!!), Goatwhore and Drowning Pool with their new lead singer (the guy from Soil). It's gonna be nice and cool out too so I can wear my Slayer hoodie and represent!!!

March 30, 2009.
In order of appearance:
Burn Halo
Papa Roach
Buckcherry (which was absolutely horrid)
AVENGED SEVENFOLD!
Yes. I freakin' loved it.
Congratulations on seeing them while The Rev was still alive! My brother saw them around January that year.

I've only been to Ozzfest once, back in 06. Coincidentally A7X was there haha. 2006 had the best Ozzfest lineup I've seen yet:
Ozzy (well, obviously)
System Of A Down (this was their last tour before they split up)
Disturbed
Avenged Sevenfold
Lacuna Coil
DragonForce (unfortunately they're just terrible live)
Atreyu
Unearth
All That Remains
Between The buried And Me
Ozzfest has just gone way downhill since then.

Thanks, man. It was awesome, considering that it was also my very first concert.
I hope they roll back through TN after they finish Uproar and their foreign touring..
Re: Concerts You Have Been To, or Going To.
Heading out right now to see Disturbed and A7X + Portnoy!!!!
-EDIT-
Woo! Just got back, hell of a show! A7X played a lot of stuff from Nightmare, and some of their older stuff with Portnoy using his "grunge-ish" screaming instead of the Rev's screaming. Oh, and Portnoy's **** beast!! I tried watching him to maybe pick up a few tricks for drumming...and 2 minutes later my mind esploded.
Disturbed was epic too, they played Asylum and Another Way To Die from their upcoming album! I was hoping they'd play Perfect Insanity, but they didn't though :(

Re: Concerts You Have Been To, or Going To.
Have been on the first Joe Satriani concert in my life. It was on 8th November, this Monday.
It was awesome!
Okay the sound quality was a bit bad because the notes not often rang out clearly. There were some periods when the bass and drums were too loud and I could see Joe was playing a tapping section but all I could hear was one long clang.
He didn't communicate so much as always and unfortunately I didn't manage to get a pick of his, but overall it was an excellent show!
He played Big Bad Moon with the harmonica solo (haha I was so proud when he grabed the harmonica out of his pocket ), and played the first part of Andalusia with an acoustic guitar (!!!).
Tho hope the Paul Gilbert concert will be cleaner. It is likely to happen because he always emphasizes cleanliness and he plays extremely cleanly everytime.
