My guitar teacher is in a band, and they did a most excellently epic wonderfulness incarnate live.

Have any teachers or instructors that you know played in a band before?

Very good!

Good effort on the vocalists part at 4:04, he sorta starts to loose control but solidifies each pitch eventually. Tough part to get. Bass solo was as epic as a bass solo could be. (Well not really, but it was really good.)

True, but any bassist that plays geddy lee (and nails it, even) gets my respect.

Actually that was a pretty good cover overall.

My teachers have a band.

My Physics teacher is the lead guitarist,
one of the substitutes/school office worker thingy is rhythm guitarist and vocals,
Two of the Welsh teachers and a Chemistry teacher do backing vocals
Special Needs teacher does drums (lol special needs hitting things)
Construction Teacher does bass.

Every so often me and a few of my friends play alongside them.

That's the only thing I would want guitar lessons for.

Skill, theory, experience, it's all free and comes with time. Finding out that you are supposed to put your hand on the fretboard form UNDER the neck (usually) is priceless.

My friend didn't know. >.>
