GH Competition!

Hey! I'm going for a GH competition next friday and can anyone give me some tips?

I've gone to the qualifying rounds just now... I did pretty bad with Santeria with an overall score of 159k and 97% hit,
and others playing more difficult songs with 300k or 200k... :huh:

If there are not many people entering, I just might get a chance in the semis...

smash your guitar at the end and attempt a surf; no matter how sucky your playing is (not saying it is; maybe you're next GH wonder :laugh:), you'll get respect/showpoints for it!

Bah, if you do well in FoF, everything will go well :thumbup:

I remember last week: I went to a multimedia shop with friends for the first time since like 5 months, and there was a "Guitar Hero: World Tour" contest going to start, and only one place left... I hadn't play for 5 months aswell (I don't have that much time for video games, as of now, I prefer real guitar :tongue: ), and I was pretty sure all my skills (that weren't the best but at least honorable :woot: ) were gone, but my friends insisted for me to play.
Obviously, I wasn't able to play as well as 5 months ago, but I did very good, beating all others players on Joe Satriani's Satch Boogie, and winning a free book :tongue:

Yea, I was authorized to choose a book which had a price of maximum 15€, so I chose an epic Stephen King novel :tongue:

Qualifying Rounds

Choose any song from Guitar Hero World tour on any level you choose.
36 Players will move on to the Semi-finals.

Semi-finals

Players will attempt to play a random song from, (yay!) Guitar Hero Smash Hits! against each other.
16 Players will move on to the Finals!

Finals

Same as the Semi-finals, but in Expert difficulty.

Prizes are worth more than SGD$5000!!!!

So it's based on score? Definitely go for an easy song on expert with lots of 3 note chord rape, in the Semi's, good luck.

Won't get you many points if you play The Middle though.
You didn't tell us what the challenge is for the qualifying rounds.

What does this mean?
The challenge is open to Singaporean and PR

Anyways, I suggest you to pick a song with lots of notes for more points and a song that you're good at. Also, go on scorehero.com for tips and tricks and SP paths.
