There's my opinionated list.

This requires more songs from The Crusade. The Crusade, Entrance Of The Conflagration and Anthem (We Are The Fire) definitely beat these.

Entrance Of The Conflagration is a great song, but Shogun is what got me really interested in Trivium. I never really liked them until Shogun. Call me a "fake" fan, but whatever. I do enjoy a lot of their music that isn't Shogun. Rain, The Crusade, Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr, Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation, Requiem, etc.

All of you saying Nirvana was so influential, the band that pretty much started grunge was Dinosaur Jr. They spawned dozens of underground bands that became grunge, one of them being Nirvana, which became the biggest hit thanks to Nevermind and Kurt's "controversial" (for lack of a better word) life.

Nirvana didn't start grunge at all, we know that. But he was influential on future artists, and really got grunge into the mainstream without becoming complete pop (like what A7X, Coheed, and BFMV are doing with metal).

And I'd say the band that spawned Nirvana (primarily) was The Melvins. Kurt was a roadie for that band and tried to join them once, so it only makes sense.

I wouldn't say X-Japan is the best band ever. I like them, yes, but in terms of record sales and popularity they're almost strictly rooted to japan [unlike the beatles which are everywhere.]

I'd say, in terms of popularity [that's not a phase like those idiotic Jonas Brothers], the best band would be the Beatles, followed by AC/DC, Metallica, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.

To the person who said Coheed and Cambria is gay, I would very much appreciate it if you would sew your mouth shut and cut off all your fingers and communicate with us by bashing your hands into the keyboard like you have parkinson's disease.

This has become a "My favorite bands" thread mind you.

BFMV is barely any different from A7X, so it's funny you say that.

They're pop metal with slightly different roots. Coheed has prog roots, BFMV has thrash roots, while A7X has metalcore roots. But in the end, they're all just pop metal.

I would use telekinesis... o.o

I was about to rant about how Green Day was no where near the level of awesomeness of MANY other bands and was in NO WAY fit to be on the Top 10 of the Histroy fo Existance, but then I rememebred what Vedi said...

And to go along with that... HERE IS MY TOP 10 - 5!

5. All That Remains
4. Brian Kahanek
3. Joe Satriani
2. Dream Theater
1. John Petrucci

Yes, I like a lot of guitarists that play solo mre or less... xD

Oh, and please feel free to insult Petrucci. However, if your brain explodes when I post a sound clip of him playing 6 billion nps, then it's your fault... :D (And no, I don't like JP just cuz he can play fast, he's just an amazing guitarist.)

Both bands are metalcore and heavy metal.

I second that.

I can prove that these lists suck. Only one of them has Ramones.

I completely agree, Eric and Stevie are some of my favorite guitarists too just for that reason. While they can both play fast as well, their ability to write melodic and beautiful solos is more impressive than technical ability. However I'm not saying Petrucci is bad, most of his songs from his solo album include speed and carefully written riffs and solos.

My Top 10 List:

10. The Beatles
Best Song: Eight Days A Week
9. Dream Theater
Best Song: Surrounded
8. Testament
Best Song: Trial By Fire
7. Def Leppard
Best Song: Action! Not Words
6. Guns N' Roses
Best Song: Sweet Child O' Mine
5. Tesla
Best Song: What You Give, Edison's Medicine (couldn't decide there)
4. AC/DC
Best Song: Shot Down In Flames
3. Judas Priest
Best Song: Blood Red Skies
2. Skid Row
Best Song: Youth Gone Wild
1. Van Halen
Best Song: Dreams
:woot: Master Of Chart Reviews! :woot:
Currently Fretting: I Am The Law - Anthrax
Megadeth - Youthanasia (1994)

I would agree if that genre existed any more.

If Blink 182 is Pop-Punk, how is A7X not Pop Metal? They do the exact same thing to their respective genres, and some how manage to have a HUGE pop appeal.
