Java/ Python compatability - posible?

as SOME of you know i am trying realy hard for online fof, sadly im only good at java, im making a host server atm coded it java, and its just for experimenting, and im wondering if theres any compatibility between python and java

what im trying to do is my python communicate with my online server coded in java, is this posible?

kewl this is what i was doing, for the java half anyways, but mines a little more sophisticated rofl my real goal is to a ranked online fof, but right now its just online fof :p

Online would be a lot better if you could actually see the other person playing also. Not just there score...

this is what im trying, in fact i dont think its as hard as you people think it is.. but seriously i need a good python coder, because i dont understand it aswell as i do java

I haven't looked at Python much, but I've understood it without too much effort. That is to say, object oriented languages are all REALLY similar, and the concepts are all you really need to learn. I've heard that from tons of people, too.

As for getting Java and Python to talk, sounds really silly. Assuming you did it, run-time would be AWFUL, I imagine. As it is, Java's not known for being the fastest thing out there.

on the contrary, i already have three different mmorpgs coded in java, and yes python is similar, but its not like i could just go and add everything just like that without any help

Oh, I didn't mean to say that writing one will work for them all. I just meant that I've been able to read most of what I've seen in Python and C++ with little difficulty. Of course, if you've written three mmo's, you're doing way more complicated things than I ever touched, so that probably doesn't hold true.

2 of them where 2d, and needed quite a bit of work, however they did feature quests, pvp, npc combat, magic, range, guilds , etc, also it was an rpg, however they are down now, since im into fof, lolz

edit: yes i can read python, but not all of it, do you know of a java- python converter? because that would be l33t :p
