also, SF's graphics are equal to CS.
I beat hackers in WR all the time, unless they are invis or instant killing. It's easy to get a hacker banned in WR anyway, so I don't even worry.

I have to keep this topic going! A Path Beyond C&C Reborn are some good ones. A path beyond is a futuristic team-based shooter, where each team has a base that they have to defend from the other team, who has the same goal. There are tanks, submarines, and planes, and very large online battles. Reborn is the same, except even more futuristic and there are battle walkers and stuff like that.

Re: Open-source/Free gaming
I just thought I'd revive my topic after finding a few new games.
Cloud
FlOw <-- New enhanced version is available on the PSN for $5, the original flash version is free
Racer
Elder Scrolls Arena <--was commercial, now free!
All of these I've known about for awhile but I thought I might as well share them with you since they're good and some people don't know about them. I love Indie, Free, and Open-source gaming, there are some crappy ones out there but then there are some true gems.

One which I've always liked: Glest. Free, open source, customisable fantasy RTS. Then if you get Ubuntu, the repository has hundreds of free games.

Re: Open-source/Free gaming
I play some OS stuff, but what really bugs me is that some of the really cool ones you guys posted are PC only!
Here's one I enjoy on Mac:
http://assault.cubers.net/
Assault Cube
Fairly easy, played like Call of Duty. Not the perfect game, but the online servers are always full of people, the graphics are decent enough, and gameplay is rather quick

Re: Open-source/Free gaming
Free games usually aren't as good as commercial games, unless you can get a large community devoted to that specific game. With Frets on Fire, it's happened, and this game is up there with Guitar Hero.
Also, free games are usually done as a hobby, and not as a job. This means, that a developer of a free game may not devote as much time to it as much as a real developer.
Over some time, I have stumbled upon some good free games. One of which is Neverball, and is the most recent game I have discovered. This game is basically a Super Monkey Ball clone. One of the things that I praise is that you can create your own levels, or customize the spheres that you control. What I don't like about this game, is the difficulty curve. You die a lot. Also, sometimes, you press a key but the level doesn't tilt.
Another fun toy that I found online is Line Rider. There is no object to the game, you just draw lines, and your dude sleds across them. Lines that you place can be scenery, regular, or booster lines. A simple game doesn't need much more than a simple explanation. =)
The last game I'm going to talk about for now, is Hexic. This game is a fun puzzle game. The object of the game is to clear hexagons to get points. The trick though, is that a group of three hexagons will try to form a cluster, but if no cluster is found, then your move fails. Special hexagons violate this rule though. =)
There are many free and open-source games out there. Lots of them are good, but only a handful of them are really commercial quality.

Those two sites host both free and open-source games. All of them are made in Game Maker. A few of the games are shareware, but those are the ones that are closer to high-caliber, at least, in the creator's eyes.

Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

You can't have a free gaming topic without mentioning Trackmania Nations Forever:
http://www.trackmania.com/tm/index.php?lang=en
Free version of Trackmania which imo is one of the best racing games ever made. I don't understand why anyone would buy one the original or United, Nations is just as good and free.
Should be enough to play, user made tracks can be found here:

82,290 tracks at the time of posting.
