Emo Metal!
A (kinda) new genre. Odd Project is the first band that i've seen that doesn't suck at emo metal.

For those who don't know what emo metal is, its a genre where the song will sometimes unexpectedly launch into shockingly violent metal outbursts just as the emo quotient reaches overwhelmingly sentimental levels (and vice versa).

Emo Metal? Dunno, I like the way Bullet For My Valentine mixes brutal vocals with cleans, perhaps I'd like it.

If you're referring to me, I said I wasn't stereotyped as anything a while back. If not, just ignore this post. :p

Personally, never heard of it. Any other bands you could think of that would fit into it?
Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

The closest I know to that is Metalcore.
Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine and that kind of crap.

But, if you count HIM in, I might believe that Emo Metal exists.

There's no such thing as emo metal.. if your refering to bands such as A7X, Trivium, As I Lay Crying they're metalcore (metal with hardcore influences), or bands like Bring Me the Hairstraightners they're 'deathcore' BMTH aren't a good example.. try All Shall Perish or As Blood Runs Black which yeh you guessed it deathmetal with hardcore influences. There is no crossover emometal genre, they're too dissamilar to mix really.
