So I entered a GH competition...

My school is having one, and I figured, what the hell.

It's set up so that we go by rounds, and the two players that are up have to agree on a song (gay) to play.

Now, I just found out that the person I'm up against is about 10x better than me. I'll be screwed if he picks TTFAF! :angry:

So, what I want to ask is, what song should I pick?

I'm guessing you're no good at fast strumming then...

Maybe try something simple and hope he falls asleep, e.g. Ruby.

All else fails, do a song that you can do REALLY well and hope he's bad at figuring out squeezes.

study SP paths of songs and learn the squeeze points. practice too. obvious stuff... and make sure your hands are warm before playing.

Before I forget, chord switches as annoying as psychobilly freakout before the end. Maybe practice that part and play the song?

Choose Sweet Child O' Mine. Repetitive, but the end solo is enough to be difficult to a medium player.

Try and play against him before hand and see if theres a song he's weak against. For instance, people who aren't as good as me still have a tendency to beat me at Knights Of Cydonia cuz I suck at that song.

Maybe I should have said this, but I am good too. I can pass TTFAF and play it well, but I know he can do it better. I'm not bad at GH.

I haven't played the 3rd one yet, because I don't know anyone except my friend who has it, and he lives far away. The HO/PO's are supposed to be easier right? Does that mean TTFAF is still a ****?

they are a ton easier. just get used to the perspective. also, MUCH luck to you. get used to the guitar since you play with the keyboard.
